3 Natural Ways to Make Lips More PinkMany people complain that their lips are getting darker with three of the most prevalent causes being constant exposure to sunlight; use of low-quality cosmetics and use of food, drinks and substances that have caffeine and tobacco.

To bring back the original rosy complexion of your lips, use the following natural remedies:

Pomegranate Seeds

Pomegranates are known to lighten dark lips due to the fact that it contains the compound punicalagins which suppresses the production of melanin and thus stops lips from going darker.

The most popular way to use pomegranate seeds in making lips pinker is to mix the crushed seeds of pomegranates with a little cold milk cream. Apply the resulting paste to the lips and repeat multiple times for a few weeks.

Another way is to juice pomegranate seeds in a blender. Dip cotton into the juice and rub it into your lips. Do this process every day for maximum effect.

Beetroot

The juice of beetroot has a natural stain that can temporarily make your lips a bit redder. It also reduces pigmentation due to its high level of vitamin C.

To make the change sustained, make a beetroot balm instead by mixing 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 1 tablespoon of beeswax pellets and 1 tablespoon of shea butter (use cocoa butter for alternative). Place the mixture in a glass jar and put the water in a saucepan with boiling water while stirring the contents of the jar. Slowly add the beetroot powder and then stir until even. Transfer the balm into containers after it cools down.

Yes! Roses are not just useful during dates and Valentine’s Day! Roses help in nourishing the lips and are known for being anti-inflammatory.

There are two ways to utilize rose in making your lips pinker.

One is you can crush the petals of red or pink roses and rub them into your lips.

The other one is to soak the rose petals in the milk for the entire night. Strain the rose petals and then crush them. Add a few drops of milk to the petals and apply to the lips. Do this every night.

All the natural remedies are effective but they would not be useful if you do not exfoliate your lips regularly. You may do this by dampening a toothbrush with soft bristles and then rubbing it gently on your lips to weed out dead skin and facilitate blood flow into the lips.
